Zinc Cafe

Modern Australian$$

Zinc is a survivor, clocking up more than a decade at this corner location and becoming the grand dame of leafy, elegant Potts Point in the process. It's no accident. Consistently great coffee, professional upbeat service, no attitude (well, a little flounce now and then) and an interesting and appealing menu combine to make for a very agreeable experience. You'll love the zucchini fritters with deep, tangy roasted tomato sauce at any time of day or night, and pasta always delivers; the linguine with prawn, chilli and garlic is an institution. Eat lightly and cheaply at brekkie and lunch, but dinner is more exy unless you nab the great-value $30 three-course set menu.
