… VICTORIAN HISTORY

Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne 2013

Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne.

Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne.

$66

In 19th-century Victoria, the de Pury family's picturesque Yeringberg in the Yarra Valley was a benchmark winery. Changing tastes and economic factors halted wine production in the 1920s, then Guill de Pury resurrected winemaking in the 1960s with superb results. Marsanne was an original 1860s Yeringberg grape variety, and it's still a staple, these days blended with the rare roussanne into this delicate white. It has floral and pear aromas, lightly honeyed richness, and a soft, succulent palate of gentle elegance, finishing fragrant and bone dry.
