Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Hunter Valley Semillon is a white wine that will keep

…A White to Keep
Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Semillon 2014
$20
Few Australian whites combine value and an ageing pedigree like Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Hunter Valley Semillon. It starts life pale, fresh and relatively neutral, then builds complexity and honeyed, toasty richness over many years. The 2014 promises to follow the pattern. A delicate fragrance of lemons and citrus blossom, with suggestions of minerals and tarragon, leads into lovely varietal and regional purity in the mouth with clean flavours and an appetising zip of acidity. Closed up and tight at the moment, it will develop beautifully.
